While bridging out exposes your back it can be a viable way to escape Side Control.  Over the next couple of videos I show some of the more common ways to bridge out and escape.

It's important to note that Bridging out does not replace Shrimping to recompose guard or bellying down to move into wrestling techniques.  It is however an important move set to posses as it works well in conjunction with those other skill sets.
