in this video I show the most basic defense for the Omoplata. There are a number of really great defenses but this one can be really nice when used correctly.
Keep in mind that you are giving up your position when you decide to front roll. Although it is possible to get the top position on the other side, more than likely your opponent is going to come up on top. When you make this transition, you should plan to start fighting from that next position right away!
Although this is not my preferred method of escape, it does indeed eliminate the Omoplata! Also, be aware that your opponent may reroll for another omoplata on the other side!
